Biography

Suzanne Ballabas, is an experienced privacy professional with over ten years of practical experience in implementing privacy practices across various international organisations, in addition to acting as a compliance officer for multiple regulated entities within the DIFC and ADGM. Suzanne has been based in the DIFC for five years managing and implementing data protection infrastructure for over 80 firms within the DIFC as Head of Data Protection in the Middle East for Waystone. Suzanne is responsible for setting up the data privacy verticle in the Middle East and has a deep knowledge of data protection laws and regulations across the UAE. Prior to this, Suzanne worked in London working with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), rolling out the privacy programme for Baker Tilly.
