Biography

Simge Kublay Can is a senior associate with the Firm, where she focuses on employment law and contract management. Simge advises clients on individual and collective labor law, as well as in areas related to employment, such as social security law, insurance law, union law and the protection of personal data. She works closely with the human resources departments of both local and multinational clients, offering legal support in the preparation of employment contracts, internal regulations, policies, standard operation procedures, discipline and performance regulations, incentive/bonus plans, settlement agreements, termination documents, operational decisions, organizational changes, and restructuring decisions. Simge also supports clients in processes involving foreign elements—for example in the establishment of companies, branches, and liaison offices of foreign companies in Türkiye, cross-border employment relationships, independent contractor agreements, and work permit procedures.

With experience in litigation and dispute resolution, Simge also provides legal consultancy to clients in pre-litigation processes. She assists them on preventive legal measures and alternative dispute resolution methods, such as mediation that can be taken before the dispute, especially on matters of labor disputes,  complex commercial disputes and consumer complaints. She is also a licensed mediator in labor law, commercial law and consumer law.

Simge advises local and multinational clients on drafting, reviewing and revising contracts and negotiating with the counterparty in all matters in accordance with its commercial and legal relations concerning their operation area.  She assists in the preparation and negotiation process for construction projects, purchasing and selling products and services, leases, transportation, and logistics as well as for manufacturing contracts.
