Shamma, a Partner and Head of the Tax Department at BSA Law in Dubai, is a leading expert in UAE tax matters. Her extensive background includes serving as the Head of Tax Returns and Payments at the UAE Federal Tax Authority, where she was instrumental in managing tax operations and overseeing vital segments of the Authority’s functions.

Shamma’s knowledge spans all aspects of taxation in the UAE, including VAT, Excise, and Corporate Tax. She is well-versed in evaluating the effectiveness of existing tax processes, advising clients on compliance, and leveraging UAE-specific exemptions and benefits to their advantage.

She holds an MBA specializing in Finance from the American University of Sharjah and additional qualifications in Corporate Tax and GCC VAT Compliance from the Association of Taxation Technicians.
