Robert Calleja is an associate in AMJ's Banking & Finance department. He has a broad range of experience advising clients on various types of finance transactions, including aviation finance; mergers & acquisition finance, asset finance (including aviation finance), real estate finance, trade finance and general corporate finance (including issue of notes). Robert has a good grasp of Loan Market Association documentation, widely used in international and domestic finance transactions, and has a particular interest in mergers and acquisitions and developing markets more generally.

Prior to joining AMJ in 2018, Robert practiced in England at Stevens & Bolton LLP, a highly regarded English law firm with a strong corporate practice. There, he acted for various types of client, ranging from large multinational listed companies to medium sized private companies and partnerships (and everything in between). Robert has an even mix of lender and borrower clients which helps add value when advising clients on either side.
