Richard is an English qualified solicitor and has over 20 years of experience, as lead advisor, assisting local, regional but predominantly multinational clients with commercial matters and in the successful completion of domestic and cross-border M&A, capital markets, private equity and corporate finance transactions.

Since early 2016, Richard has been a Senior Associate in the Corporate Commercial practice in Al Tamimi & Company's Oman office in Muscat. In Oman Richard has a twin focus on:

• leading corporate transactions and restructuring matters, particularly in an M&A, joint venture and privatisation context; and

• providing complex operational and commercial contract advice, including matters relating to consumer protection, intellectual property protection and exploitation, franchising, commercial agency and distributorship; and competition and anti-trust issues.

Richard also often assists clients with the non-litigious disposal of significant contract and commercial disputes.
