Biography

Reham is appointed as Head of Legal GULF (UAE, Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain & Qatar) in Novartis as of 1 January 2023.

Reham is Co founder of Egypt in-house community group. A group that gathers more than 200 in-house counsels in EG, that aims sharing learning, vacancies, better use of time & resources of the in house lawyers in EG. After her role as The Country Head of Legal for Novartis Egypt covering all Novartis divisions including Pharma, Oncology, Sandoz, Alcon and technical operations in Egypt,. Reham has been leading the legal team in MENA since December 31, 2013 & until 2016. Prior to her role at Novartis, Reham was Senior Corporate Lawyer at the Arab International Bank (AIB), where she oversaw the work of seven branches and paralegal interns. Before joining AIB, Reham was Corporate Lawyer at Credit Lyonnais Bank (CLB), conducting extensive research in order to identify appropriate laws, judicial decisions, legal articles, and other materials that are relevant to the assigned cases, reviewing contracts, mortgages, separation agreements, and trust instruments. Prior to CLB, Reham was a French simultaneous interpreter at the News Room and the Egyptian Television, prior to which she was a part-time lawyer trainee at a law consultancy firm. Reham holds a “Maitrise” de Droit Des Affaires from the University of Paris-I Pantheon Sorbonne, and a Bachelor of Arts in Egyptian Law from Cairo University.

During her role in Egypt, she also served as American Association of Concorporate Counsels (ACC) country representative and Co- Founder of Egypt Inhouse Counsel Group. She is member in the Egyptian Bar Association.
