Omid is an associate in the English language disputes practice at Al Busaidy, Mansoor Jamal & Co (AMJ).
• His practice encompasses a broad range of complex contentious matters, with a particular emphasis on cross border proceedings, commercial arbitration and construction disputes.
Omid is skilled at distilling complex commercial issues, providing practical advice and drafting persuasive legal arguments. He has successfully assisted international clients involved in a wide range of commercial disputes before the Omani courts as well as domestic and international arbitrations.
Omid has regularly assisted clients in negotiating solutions outside the courtroom. He has broad experience in alternative dispute resolution (ADR) processes, including mediation and settlement negotiation.
Prior to joining AMJ, Omid was in-house counsel at Deloitte and a legal manager at NCR, where he managed a number of proceedings before a Dispute Adjudication Board in London. He did his training at a leading Canadian business law firm, McMillan LLP, where he appeared before the Superior Court of Justice. Omid holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Toronto and a PhD from Queen's University in Canada.
