Nicolas Bremer specializes in advising clients from Europe and the MENA-Region on their business activities and investments in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Oman and Germany in the English, Arabic and German languages.

Prior to joining Alexander & Partner in 2015, Nicolas Bremer worked as a lawyer for international law firms in Dubai (United Arab Emirates), Cairo (Egypt) and Berlin (Germany), advising clients from Europe and the MENA-Region in German and Middle Eastern law. He specializes in corporate, construction and real estate law of Germany and the Middle East.

As a partner of Alexander & Partner he focuses on advising European clients on their investments in the MENA-Region, in particular Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Oman, and clients from the MENA-Region on their investments in Germany and Europe. In this capacity he advises on corporate law and joint ventures, corporate financing as well as real estate and merger and acquisition transactions. Here he focuses in particular on the energy, technology, real estate and natural resources sectors.

Nicolas Bremer studied law in Hamburg (Germany) and Lima (Peru) and graduated from the Bucerius Law School (Hamburg), Germany's highest-ranking law school. Subsequently Nicolas Bremer enrolled as a PhD student at the law school of the Justus Liebig University in Gießen (Germany) in order to conduct research on the ground on the regulation of resource distribution in the Middle East, specifically water of international river systems. He submitted his thesis on the topic of regulation of fresh water utilization of the Euphrates-Tigris river system through large dams.

Nicolas Bremer is bilingual in German and English, and fluent in Arabic and Spanish. His Arabic-language skills extend to proficiencies in written and spoken Modern Standard Arabic, and spoken dialects. He is an active member of – among others – the German Association for Arabic and Islamic Law (GAIR), the American Society of International Law (ASIL) and the IHP-HELP Center for Water Law, Policy and Science working under the auspices of the UNESCO.
