Mete received his LL.B. from the University of Southampton in 2015. In the following year, he undertook the Bar Professional Training Course (BPTC) and was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2016. He completed an LLM at the University of Nottingham in 2018 specializing in international commercial law. After undertaking the Turkish Law Equivalency Program at the Dokuz Eylül University in 2020, he joined the Istanbul Bar in 2021. He has recently co-authored the article “Arbitration Clauses Incorporated by Reference: An Overview of the Turkish Approach” for the Hergüner Spring 2021 Newsletter.
Mete Siber is an Associate in Herguner Bilgen Ozeke’s Corporate and M&A, Banking & Finance, Real Estate and Arbitration practice groups. He is experienced in matters concerning due diligence, property acquisitions by foreign companies and drafting and reviewing contracts. Some of Mete’s most recent work includes providing legal assistance to a multinational company in its acquisition of a life insurance company that house supplemental health, individual pension and personal accident businesses in the Turkish insurance market and advising on regulatory compliance matters.
