Maryam joined Newton Legal in 2021, and is currently a Trainee Associate at the firm.

She is regularly tasked with the submission of applications with the Ministry of Industry and Commerce (MOIC) on behalf of the firm’s corporate clients, liaising with governmental authorities, conducting legal research in relation to both Bahraini and English legislation, and reviewing a range of agreements to ensure their compliance with relevant regulations and international best practice.

To date, Maryam has advised on the transfer of ownership of several real estate properties in Bahrain and has a comprehensive awareness of relevant Survey Land Registration Bureau (SLRB) requirements. She has also assisted an international crude oil transportation service provider with its corporate filings in Bahrain.
