Biography

Layyan is a Commercial Law Graduate and recent corporate trainee lawyer at JAAL. She obtained her bachelor’s degree at the Modern College of Business and Science and is an honour’s graduate. During her undergraduate studies, she played a large leading role in various leadership and business-related activities, having been President of the Entrepreneurship club at her college, as well as Associate at the Center for Entrepreneurship and business Incubation.

Prior to joining MCBS, Layyan assumed the title of ‘Independent Business Owner’ at Amway Orlando, one of the largest Multilevel Marketing based companies in the US, and trained closely with Britt Worldwide, a prestigious business education and training company.

Layyan has also published articles relating to Corporate Governance and is working as Editor in Chief for author Jeffery Greene’s second book titled “Oman Corporate Governance-Everything you need to know.” Further to her studies in the area of Law, she successfully completed an Internship at Al Shea’ily Attorneys and Legal Consultants, where she gained a background in both litigation and corporate related matters. Areas covered throughout her training were cases relating to breach of contract, Construction cases, Labour, Criminal, Tort, Civil, and Sharia Law cases. At JAAL, she has been involved in drafting and reviewing share sale agreements, due diligence reports, PPP projects, cases relating to proxy servers and IP, and various forms of legal research.
