Laurel is a commercial litigator, whose practice focuses on complex business disputes in both state and federal courts, including breach of contract, intellectual property, securities litigation, and bankruptcy litigation. She also has experience representing clients in foreign arbitrations and internal investigations.

She is admitted to practice in New York; US Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit; US District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.

She is the Director of the Columbia Law School Association.

She is the Secretary-Treasurer at the New York American Inn of Court.
