Kate Machard has more than 10 years of legal experience, focusing her career on construction law, litigation and various other forms of dispute resolution. Currently, she is a construction law associate in the firm's Doha office. Her practice focuses on advising clients in construction matters across a wide range of sectors in the construction industry.
Kate is experienced in preparing; negotiating; reviewing and administering standard form contracts (i.e., FIDIC, NEC2, NEC3, JBCC, GCC and EPCM contracts) and bespoke construction agreements aligned with company risk profiles. She has been involved in negotiating and drafting all forms of project agreements, contractual documentation, construction agreements in various jurisdictions, including Qatar, with specific regard to the oil, gas and energy sectors. She has also advised parties to construction contracts in a wide range of disputes, in litigation, mediation, adjudication and arbitration proceedings.
