Hazar Başar is a senior associate in the Competition and Antitrust practice area of Hergüner Bilgen Üçer. He is responsible for administering merger and acquisition notifications for approval along with individual exemption and negative clearance applications before the Turkish Competition Authority. He also provides advice on legal matters related to competition law and economics. Mr. Başar represents clients in antitrust litigation procedures and assists with regulatory compliance matters, particularly focusing on the energy and e-commerce sectors. He also assists clients by leading internal investigations with a particular focus on white-collar crimes, and he provides legal advice on sanctions and export control issues.

Before joining Hergüner, Mr. Başar worked in some of the most prominent law firms specializing in competition law and regulation in Türkiye.
