Hashim Shekhuna is a founding partner of the firm primarily responsible for corporate and commercial matters.
Hashim is a member of the Law Society of England & Wales and was admitted as a Solicitor in December 2008. He obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Law from the University of London and a Masters in Law from Kings College London.
Hashim has extensive experience in assisting overseas entities with setting up their operations in the Sultanate of Oman. Hashim advises on the laws, regulatory framework and administrative procedures on inward investment into Oman, the structure of business entities, incorporation of different commercial vehicles, licensing and permitting issues, employment, immigration, tax and customs. Hashim has extensive experience in drafting a range of commercial agreements including shareholders agreements, share transfers, commercial mortgages, intellectual property and copyrights, joint ventures, agency and distribution agreements.
Prior to establishing Mohammed Al Ruqaishi Law Firm, Hashim was a lawyer in the corporate/ commercial department of a leading law firm in the Sultanate of Oman.
