Biography
  • Fernando assists domestic and foreign clients on arbitral disputes and strategy and enforcement of domestic and foreign judgments and arbitral awards.

  • Since 2004, working at a number of firms, he has been involved in commercial, investment and construction disputes in the United States, Latin America, and the MENA region for claims of up to USD 1 billion.

  • Fernando is regularly invited to speak at domestic and international conferences and forums on arbitration, construction disputes, and disputes in the oil and gas sector, and regularly publishes on these topics.

  • As part of his expertise, in addition to general arbitral disputes, he assists stakeholders in construction claims on matters such as acceleration, delays, disruption, and variations, and works with energy sector clients on downstream, upstream, and midstream project related claims.

  • Fernando is the MENA Alternate Regional Chapter Director for the Association for the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators.
