Duygu is a senior associate in our firm’s Commercial and Dispute Resolution practice, where her primary industrial focus includes IP and entertainment law. She is also a licensed patent and trademark attorney, carrying out trademark and design prosecution transactions before the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office. She has previously advised global and local market leaders in broadcasting and format creation industries, where IP matters and regulatory compliance on entertainment laws are of outmost importance. She specializes in both contentious and non-contentious IP matters, experienced in drafting and fine-tuning contracts governing content acquisition, rights clearance, licensing schemes, technology transfer deals in various industries. She also provides tailor-made advice to meet the commercial needs of companies investing in intellectual assets, which extends to copyrights, trademarks, patents, industrial designs, utility models and trade secrets. She is also a litigator handling IP, unfair competition and domain name disputes before local courts and international arbitration bodies. She also successfully partakes in out-of-court settlement negotiations. She has also provided legal assistance on intellectual property rights to clients in the negotiations of cross-border M&A.
