After obtaining a PhD in International Trade Law with the highest distinction and honors at Paris West University (France) with a thesis entitled “The Regulation of Competition Between Companies in a Globalized Economy”, Habib has started his professional career in France as legal counsel and assistant professor in European Law and Public International Law. He has gradually built multifaceted skills in higher education industry, consultancy and international arbitration in various countries such as France, Belgium, United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon and China. Habib is also member of several international editorial boards and regularly attends workshops and seminars with a particular emphasis on both legal and economic implications of the global trading system for the Arab World. Such issues have been the subject of numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals. Habib is currently serving as the Dean of the College of Law at the Applied Science University (ASU) in Bahrain. Habib is also a Senior Legal Consultant in Saudi Arabia and the UK, and an International Arbitrator in China.
