Douglas specialises in complex disputes, with a focus on the Financial Services sector, contentious regulatory matters, insolvency and restructuring procedures and investigations. He has also advised on a broad range of EU and UK competition law issues.

In the last couple of years he has advised the liquidators on the Abraaj liquidation in the DIFC and on numerous disputes related to distressed assets while on a 9 month secondment to the Major Disputes Legal team covering Africa & Middle East at a leading international bank with a presence in the DIFC.
