David focuses his practice on corporate transactions and commercial matters.

He has particular experience in advising on mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital investments, joint ventures, commercial contracts, corporate restructuring and corporate governance.

David's practice is active throughout the Middle East and Africa where he represents a range of clients, including private and listed companies, high net worth individuals and family groups, private equity funds, banking and financial institutions, energy and utilities majors and defence and aerospace companies.

In addition, his Chinese language abilities mean that he is well placed to advise on inbound and outbound investments and cross-border transactions between the Middle East, Africa and Asia.

David also brings a clear understanding of the needs of in-house counsel teams having spent six months on secondment with a UAE-based oil company.
