Andrew obtained his LLB with Honours from Glasgow University and his Diploma of Legal Practice from Glasgow Law School. He was admitted as a solicitor in Scotland in 2003. Andrew is fluent in English.

Biography

Andrew is a Partner and Head of the Real Estate practice in the Middle East. He is jointly based in the Dubai and Abu Dhabi offices. He has 16 years' experience in the real estate sector, the majority of that time being spent living and working in the Middle East acting for both local and international real estate clients.

As one of the region's most prominent real estate lawyers, Andrew represents clients across all major jurisdictions in the Middle East. He advises investors, funds, financial institutions and developers in sectors including retail, education, logistics and residential. His clients include some of the most prominent real estate funds, family offices and international real estate corporates operating in the Middle East. He also advises local and international clients in sub-Saharan Africa. In addition, he advises on Sharia-compliant finance relating to real estate.

Andrew is recommended by his clients for providing a commercial one-stop-shop for their real estate requirements. He and his real estate team are praised by clients for their pragmatic approach to dealing with legal issues and their flexibility in the delivery of their services.

Before joining Eversheds Sutherland, Andrew led Gowling WLG's real estate and hospitality practice in the Middle East and Africa.
