Rights of Audience before the DIFC Courts
Alexander Lütgendorf is an English and Austrian qualified senior counsel based in the firm's Dubai office. He has worked in the Middle East since 2010. Mr. Lütgendorf focuses on dispute resolution (especially through international arbitration) and maintains a successful commercial practice supporting clients on most aspects of business, including contract, corporate, construction and regulatory matters.
Mr. Lütgendorf has acted as counsel and arbitrator in more than seventy arbitrations around the world under a variety of arbitration rules, including CRCICA, DIAC, DIFC-LCIA, ICC, LCIA, ICSID, and UNCITRAL, concerning a broad range of sectors. He also handles cross-border litigation before national courts across the region and appears as advocate before the DIFC Courts.
Mr. Lütgendorf is a member of the ICC Commission on Arbitration and ADR, the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and other policy groups. He served as observer delegate to the UNCITRAL Working Group on Arbitration and Conciliation participating in the revision process of the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules.
