Alec Borisoff
Alexander Borisoff is a partner in Milbank LLP's New York office and member of the firm's project, energy and infrastructure finance group. He has almost 20 years' experience representing project sponsors, financial institutions, export credit and multilateral development agencies and other project participants in a wide range of US and cross-border project and structured financings and investment transactions, with a particular emphasis on mining, oil and gas, infrastructure and power-related financings. He has significant experience working on complex multi-sourced financings and in recent years has led teams acting on behalf of agency lenders, commercial banks and other finance providers on eight financings that have received ‘Deal of the Year' recognition. Alec has been recognised as a leading project finance lawyer by Chambers and Partners, The Legal 500 and Who's Who Legal, and was also named as a leading lawyer in both banking and project finance by IFLR. He regularly speaks at industry conferences and has recently contributed to and co-authored book chapters on public-private partnerships (published by Kluwer Law International) and official funding sources (published by Oxford University Press), as well as regularly publishing articles appearing in Project Finance International, Infrastructure Journal, and other leading industry publications.
