Alaa is an Omani trainee lawyer who joined SASLO in January 2018. She graduated from the University of Reading in 2016 with a bachelor's degree in Law. In 2017, she graduated from Queen Mary, University of London with a master's degree in Commercial and Corporate Law. Additionally, Alaa has recently obtained a Diploma in Arbitration in Omani governed contracts, namely, Petroleum Contracts, Marine Contracts and Intellectual Property Contracts.

During her time at Queen Mary, University of London, Alaa gained practical experience as a student advisor at the Legal Clinic at Queen Mary Legal Advice Centre. She advised technology start-ups and entrepreneurs on various aspects of English law. Alaa also drafted preliminary advices on sales contracts, service contracts, license agreements, deeds of assignment, registering trademarks in the UK, and trademark protection within the EU and internationally.

Alaa is fluent in both Arabic and English. She also has basic communication skills in French. Alaa is an active member of SASLO's dynamic Corporate Commercial Department.
