Ahmad is an associate in Corporate/Commercial Department at the firm. He has around six years of experience practicing law. He has advised and worked on several due diligence reports for potential acquirers and project lenders from energy/power and hotel/tourism sectors. Ahmad has advised, and at times in collaboration with leading international law firms, clients from automotive industry, telecommunication, banking, and IT sectors on Oman’s regulatory compliance matters. Additionally, he has assisted in advising Omani banks in drafting standard credit facility/security documents (both conventional and Islamic). Ahmad has advised and assisted in preparing reports for companies from textile and construction sectors and banks on shareholders’ internal, lender’s liability, third-party payments and labour disputes.
Before joining AMJ, Ahmad has advised clients on bidding/potential acquisition of hydropower projects by conducting and preparing extensive due diligence reports, contentious and non-contentious banking matters, acquisitions of stakes in public listed as well as private companies, setting-up of a corporate entity and its subsequent regulatory compliances, etc.
In addition, Ahmad has extensive disputes resolution experience, wherein he has acted for several financial institutions before banking court in Pakistan and has advised financial institutions regarding their debt settlement/restructuring/rescheduling.
