Circular issued by the Qatar Tourism regarding:

Addition of an article to regulate online listings of Holiday Homes on accommodation platforms

Following Qatar Tourism Circular No. 1/2021 issued on 29/08/2021 by the Chairman of Qatar Tourism regarding the instructions of work controls, requirements, and standards for the activity of Holiday Homes and the classification manual of Holiday Homes.

In reference to Article 3 of Qatar Emiri Decision No. 15/2021 regarding the establishment of the Qatar Tourism, which is tasked to work on enhancing the tourism experience in the State of Qatar, and follow up its development in legal and regulatory aspects;

Referring to Article 2 of Qatar Law No. 20/2018 on the regulation of tourism, which states: "It is prohibited to establish, exploit, manage a hotel or tourism establishment, tourism festivals and events organizing offices, or to engage in any tourist activity, festival or tourism event without authorization from Qatar Tourism, in accordance with the provisions of this Law and its executive regulations."
