Strict Health and Safety Procedures for Food and Bottled Water Factories
Within the framework of the Ministry of Public Health's responsibility to control food safety, manufacturing and food production, and given the current conditions of the State due to the spread of the Corona Virus, The Food Safety Department calls on all food manufacturers to tighten health and safety measures in factories to prevent any potential hazards to workers, products and consumers of the society:
1- Ensure that food handlers adhere to good personal hygiene prior to starting work. Taking the temperature of each staff using an infrared thermometer for that purpose and excluding any staff that shows symptoms of high temperature, coughing and colds. IN case of suspected cases, the hotline 16000 must be contacted.
2- Ensure cleaning and disinfection of the workers' accommodation, transportation (buses) and controlling the behaviors such as large gatherings to watch TV and others.
3- Providing personal hygiene supplies and ensuring these are used before and during manufacturing processes (Liquid hand soap, liquid sanitizer, gloves, masks, hairnets)
