Management of Staff Infected with COVID-19 at Healthcare Facilities

In view of the latest clinical evidence related to COVID-19, The Ministry of Public Health has decided to endorse:

  • Isolation period for all staff working in healthcare facilities diagnosed positive for COVID-19 with no symptoms is 7 days period starting from the day of the result.

  • On day 7, if the staff is still asymptomatic and tests negative on Rapid Antigen Testing, he/she can return to work on day 8.

All healthcare facilities in the State of Oatar are requested to comply with this rule considering all the necessary requirements related to issuing sick leaves.

This memo is effective from its' issue date; 5 January 2022.
