  • All healthcare facilities in the State of Qatar concerned with “Obstetrics and Gynecology” services (Governmental and Private sectors)

Greetings from the Ministry of Public Health,

In MoPH’s pursuit to raise the standards of healthcare practitioners’ registration and licensing, and in line with the Department of Healthcare Profession’s regulatory and monitoring roles and based on the decisions of the Permanent Licensing Committee (PLC) in its 7th meeting dated 28th of March 2022, it has been decided to cancel all previous approvals regarding aesthetic procedures issued to physicians specialized in “Obstetrics and Gynecology”. Accordingly, practitioners seeking to obtain privileges in aesthetic procedures in “Obstetrics and Gynecology” must submit a new privilege request with all the requirements to the Registration Section/DHP, which will be evaluated by a specialized committee to determine the applicants’ eligibility for the requested procedures.

Additionally, all physicians specializing in “Obstetrics and Gynecology” must adhere to their scope of practice as per their medical license and surgical privileges granted to them.
