1. This list shows foodstuffs that are prohibited to be imported into the State of Qatar temporarily or permanently and the reasons for that ban.

2. The ban is taken as a precaution to prevent food-related sources of risk from reaching the consumer. There are three levels of banning that can be summarized as follows:

• A. A ban that relates to requirements of Technical Regulations or Standards, such Halal issues, or legislation to avoid unsafe / prohibited handling of some foods. Usually, this ban is permanent, as it is linked to specific legislation and legal references.

• B. A ban based on the latest reports of the Animal Health Organization OIE on the epidemiological situation of a specific disease in a country. Usually this is a temporary ban changes depending on the stability / instability of the epidemiological situation in these countries.

• C. Special cases of ban, which are not permanent and are not changing as quickly as the temporary ban. Ban done in certain cases such as the lack of information about the epidemiological situation of a country in a manner in which the risk may pass through relevant imported food.
