Guidelines for Implementation of Patients' Bill of Rights and Responsibilities in All Healthcare Facilities in the State of Qatar
In 2015, Patients' Bill of Rights and Responsibilities was developed in both languages' Arabic and English and in 2016 health facilities in the state were obligated to publish and implement it.
In 2021, Patients' Bill of Rights and Responsibilities was translated into several other languages' Filipino, Bengali, Nepali, Urdu Malayalam and Hindi in order to ensure that it reaches the largest possible members of community.
The Bill is currently available for public and all health care facilities in eight different languages and can be found on Ministry of Public Health website in order to display it in a suitable way, whether by printing or electronic display.
A written Undertaking form that must be signed by the medical director of the healthcare facility has also been added to the MoPH website, in which the medical director pledges to know the Bill, display it and make it available to all (patients and their families, healthcare practitioners, employees) and also to apply its provisions.
