Subject: Approval of new scopes within the “Allied Health Practitioners” scopes list

“Qatar Council for Healthcare Practitioners presents to you its compliments”.

In the Department of Healthcare Professions' pursuit to cope up with the best regional and international practices in the field of the registration/licensing, and in response to some incoming requests and after presenting this issue to the Permanent Licensing Committee in their 12th meeting of the year 2019, which was held on 1/7/2019; a number of scopes of practice) have been approved within the “Allied Health Practitioners” scopes list. Accordingly, it is mandatory to obtain a medical license issued by the Department of Healthcare Professions to practice these scope as per the attached registration/licensing requirements.

The newly approved scopes are:

• Emergency Medical Dispatcher

• Orthopedic Practitioner

• Plaster Technician

• Assistant Nurse/Assistant Midwife
