In the Registration Department's pursuit to keep up to date with the latest global practices in the healthcare field to align with the best international practices and standards; and based on the decisions of the Permanent Licensing Committee (PLC) in its 6th meeting dated 09/03/2016, it has been decided that Qatar Council for Healthcare Practitioners will stop the registration/licensing for all Sterilization Technicians as this category does not need a license by the Registration Department. Sterilization Technicians can work in their healthcare facilities as per a set of defined guidelines and protocols which ensures the quality of the provided services, patient safety and safety of the medical staff working in those healthcare facilities.
