'The Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) presents to you its compliments'.

In alignment with the MOPH's vision to raise the Hijama registration/licensing standards in the state of Qatar and based on the recommendation of the Specialized Committee for Complementary Medicine in its 7th meeting dated 13/12/2020, MOPH has decided to limit the licensing of Hijama practitioners to applicants with a health/medical background starting from June 1st 2021.

In light of this circular, please consider the following:

  • This circular is not applicable for the following categories:

  • 1. Qataris,

  • 2. Offspring of Qatari women,

  • 3. Some residents' categories as per the conditions approved by the relevant committee in the MOPH.
