In alignment with the DHP’s efforts to develop the healthcare sector in the state of Qatar and update our policies to match with the latest international standards and international best practice, the department has decided to update the “Break in Practice” policy taking into consideration that the longevity of experience before a break in practice requires different periods of training before being allowed to practice independently again.

Notes:

• This policy cancels the previous “Break from Practice” policy in circular number (Qatar Council for Healthcare Practitioners Circular No. 13/2017)

• This policy is effective from the date of the circular. (Policy attached)
