A- With reference to Circular No. (43/2010) and Circular No. (52/2010) on the delay in implementation of Article No. (580) of the Qatar Trade Law No. 27/2006 concerning the settlement of the cheque when presented, regardless of the date shown on its face, the Qatar Law No. 7/2010 has been issued in 13/5/2010 stipulating that the text of Article No. (580) shall be replaced with a new amended Article No. (580) of the Qatar Trade Law No. 27/2006 (a copy of the law is attached to Annex No. (114) = CPSM-(8/1). The new text shall include the same provisions of the previously-applied law regarding the settlement of the cheque.

Accordingly, Qatar Law No. 7/2010 shall come into effect, and any provisions contradictory to the provisions of the law shall be null and void.
