Issuing the Dispute Settlement Regulation
Abrogating:
Oman Ministerial Decision No. 44/2010 dated 06/04/2010
Based on the Telecom Act promulgated by Sultani Decree No. 30/2002;
The Implementing Regulation of the Telecom Act promulgated by Oman Ministerial Decision No. 144/2008;
The Dispute Settlement Regulation issued by Oman Decision No. 44/2010;
The Domain Name Regulation issued by Oman Decision No. 1152/2/3/2022-5;
The approval of the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority’s Board of Directors;
The approval of the Ministry of Finance; and
Based on the public interest requirements,
The following has been decided:
The Dispute Settlement Regulation
Chapter 1 - Definitions and General Provisions
Article 1
In applying the provisions of this Regulation, the terms and expressions contained therein shall have the same meaning stipulated in the Telecom Act and its Implementing Regulation, and the following terms and expressions shall have the meaning assigned to each of them, unless the context requires otherwise:
The Competent Department:
The Dispute Settlement and Litigation Department at the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority.
The Panel:
The Dispute Settlement Panel or the Review Requests Panel, as the case may be.
