Abrogating

Oman Decision No. 27/2016 dated 13/04/2016

Pursuant to the Telecommunications Regulatory Act promulgated by Oman Sultani Decree No. 30/2002;

The Implementing Regulation of the Telecommunications Regulatory Act issued by Oman Ministerial Decision No. 144/2008;

Ex-Ante Market Regulation (Dominance Regulation) issued by Oman Decision No. 69/2012;

Ex-Post Market Regulation (Anti-Competitive Behaviour) issued by Oman Decision No. 70/2013;

Retail Tariff Regulation (Price Control) issued by Oman Decision No. 27/2016;

The approval of the Board of Directors of the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority; and

Based on the public interest requirements,

The following has been decided:

Chapter 1 - Definitions and General Provisions

Article 1

In applying the provisions of this Regulation, the terms and expressions contained therein shall have the same meaning stipulated in the Telecommunications Regulatory Act and its Implementing Regulation, and the following terms and expressions shall have the meaning assigned against each, unless the context requires otherwise:

  1. Retail Market:

    A market for the supply of public telecommunications services to End Users for private use and not resale.
