Subject: Application Form for the Registration of Medicated Cosmetic Product

Reference to our circular in July 2022, this is to inform you that we have introduced a new subcategory of Health products named "Medicated Cosmetic Products" which are defined as "topical preparations that intend to treat, prevent diseases or it may contain active ingredients that affects the structure, or functions of the human body". The form of that these products could be as cream, ointment, gel, lotion, mouth wash, mouth gargles, medicated shampoo, deodorants and medicated soaps.

The registration process and fees is similar to the current registration of health products. However, the product analysis has to be done in one of the approved laboratories by MCI as per the template enclosed within the application form.
