Sub: Dispensing of Medicines by Coordination Between Medical Representatives and Health Professionals Against Percentage

With the reference to the Article No. 8 Promulgating the Law governing the Practice of Pharmacy & pharmaceutical enterprises issued by Oman Sultani Decree No. 35/2015. It has been noticed that some practices are being conducted in terms of sharing financial distribution (percentage) between medical representatives and health care providers against prescribing/Dispensing specific products. Such practice is highly prohibited and contradicts with MOH regulation as per Royal Decree mentioned above. In case of any similar practice detected, the matter will be referred to the pharmaceutical Violations Committee for appropriate action.
