Sub: Dispensing of Eye Drops (Antibiotics & steroids) without valid Prescription

We have been informed that Eye Drops containing (Antibiotics +Steroid) are being dispensed without a valid prescription. In reference to our No. 26/2018 dated 1st April 2018 regarding the prohibition of dispensing antibiotics without a valid prescription, this is to inform you that dispensing any of these medicines without a valid prescription is highly prohibited and contradicts with MOH law and regulation as per Oman Sultani Decree No. 35/2015. In case of similar observation is detected, the matter will be referred to the pharmaceutical Violations Committee for appropriate action.
