Based on the Bank Deposit Protection Law promulgated by Oman Sultani Decree No. 47/2024;
The Banking Law promulgated by Oman Sultani Decree No. 2/2025;
Regulation of the Central Bank of Oman promulgated by Oman Sultani Decree No. 3/2025;
The Implementing Regulation of the Bank Deposit Insurance Scheme No. BM/39/5/1995;
The approval of the Board of Directors of the Central Bank of Oman; and
Based on the public interest requirements,
The following has been decided:
Implementing Regulation of the Bank Deposit Protection Law
Chapter 1 - Definitions and General Provisions
Article 1
In application of the provisions of this Regulation, the terms and expressions contained herein shall have the same meaning stipulated in the aforementioned Banking Law and the Bank Deposit Protection Law, and the following terms and expressions shall have the meanings assigned against each, unless the context requires otherwise:

Bank Deposit Protection Law.
Board:
The Board of Directors of the Central Bank of Oman.
Governor:
Governor of the Central Bank of Oman
Total Deposits:
