Subject: Oman Sultani Decree No. 114/2000 Issuing the Banking Law

All licensed banks and financial institutions are advised that the new Banking Law has been issued by Oman Sultani Decree No. 114/2000 issued on 13 December 2000. The Decree is published in the Official Gazette No. 685 dated 16 December 2000.

All licensed banks and financial institutions are required to adhere and comply with the provisions of the above referred Law from the date of publication.

The Central Bank of Oman shall commence printing the Law in one book in both Arabic and English languages. Copies of the book may be obtained from CBO Currency Department at RO 5/- (Five Rials only) for each copy.
