Subject: Amendment to Oman Regulation No. BM/44/7/1998 on Lending Ratio

Annexed herewith please find a copy of the Board of Governors of Oman Decision No. 1303/107/10/99/23 amending Article 1 of Oman Regulation No. BM/44/7/1998 on Lending Ratio, published in the Official Gazette No. 668 dated 1st April 2000. Please note that we had previously directed adherence to such amendment vide Oman Central Bank Circular No. BM873/1999 dated 13 October 1999.
All licensed banks in the Sultanate are required to adhere to the said Regulation.
Oman Decision No. 1303/107/10/99/23 Amendment to Oman Regulation No. BM/44/7/1998 on Lending Ratio
Pursuant to Article 4-4.06 of Oman Law No. 7/1974, the Banking Law of 1974, and Oman Regulation No. BM/44/7/1998 on Lending Ratio, and the Resolution of the Board of Governors at its meeting convened on 12 October 1999, and in accordance with Public Interest, it was decided as follows:
Article 1
Article 1 of the above referred Oman Regulation No. BM/REG/ 44/7/1998 shall be replaced by the following provision:
