Revision of the Application and License Fees Paid by Banks

Subject: Revision of the Application and License Fees paid by Banks
As banks are aware, the fees charged by CBO in respect of applications made for principal/branch offices and for issue of licenses for these offices remain unchanged since 1976.
The Board of Governors considered this issue at its meeting held recently and decided that with effect from the licensing year 1995, that is from 1st January 1995, banks shall pay fees as per the following schedule.
A)
Application to conduct banking business in the Sultanate

Annual license fee- principal office

Annual license fee- Off-Site Automated Teller Machine

a) Merger of Banks
1. For a surviving bank whose registered name is retained; per branch or Main Office taken over during the merger process.
