Oman Central Bank Circular No. BM2/1975

On April 1 1975 the Central Bank of Oman will assume all assets and liabilities of the Oman Currency Board, under the provisions of the Oman Law No. 7/1974, Banking Law.

Kindly, therefore, transfer all balances standing to the credit or debit of the Oman Currency Board, as of March 31 1975, to similar accounts in the name of the Central Bank of Oman.

Time deposits maturing after this date should be annotated with the name of the Central Bank of Oman and unmatured Forward Exchange Contracts should be similarly marked as the responsibility of the Central Bank.

Items held by you in safe Custody in the name of the Oman Currency Board should be rescheduled under the name of the Central Bank of Oman. Any items initiated by the Oman Currency Board prior to April 1 1975, but received by you after that date should be acted upon as though initiated by the Central Bank and passed over the Central Bank accounts.

The Post Office Box, Cable and Telex addresses of the Oman Currency Board will be retained for the use of Central Bank of Oman.
