These guidelines are prepared for the governance and streamlining the methodology adopted by the CMA in the consultation process with the public, on the draft laws and regulations that it intends to issue or amend, so as to allow the public, an active opportunity to participate with opinion, comments and proposals in the decision making process; and drawing the map for the development of the sectors regulated by the CMA prior to approval and publication in line with the fourth principle of the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) and the Second Principle of the International Association of Insurance Supervisors.

In the implementation of the provisions of these guidelines the following words and expressions shall have the meaning respectively ascribed to them unless the context requires otherwise:
