These Regulations (as amended from time to time) are to be referred to as Masdar City Employment Regulations, 2009

In these Regulations unless the context otherwise requires:

1. “AED” means the lawful currency of the UAE;

2. “Government Services Entity” means the Entity established by Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company PJSC which is tasked with the responsibility of procuring employment related services for to the employees of licensees operating in the zone including, but not limited to the issue of, entry permits, various types of visas, work permits, identification cards, medical certificates, medical tests, and other employee related matters;

3. “zone” means Masdar City and the relevant subdivision(s) thereof;

4. “company” means a company or other entity (including branches of companies) incorporated or registered pursuant to Masdar City Companies Registration Regulations, 2009;

5. “employee” means any individual authorised by the zone to work for a licensee;
