These Regulations are to be referred to as the Masdar City Companies Registration Regulations 2009 (as amended).

These Regulations are issued by the Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company ( ADFEC ) in fulfilment of its obligations under Article 7 of Law No. 22 of 2007.

These Regulations are made on and come into force on 1 February 2009 and will apply in the jurisdiction of Masdar City Free Zone ( Masdar City ) until such time as they are revoked by ADFEC. For the avoidance of doubt, Federal Law No (8) of 1984 (as amended from time to time) shall not apply in Masdar City.

Schedule 1 contains a list of defined terms used in these Regulations.
