Subject: Policy for Health Information Assets Classification in the Emirate of Dubai

DHA extends its sincere appreciation for the continuous cooperation of its strategic partners in the health sector who are dedicated in providing integrated health care and improving the quality of health care services in the Emirate of Dubai.

Hence and based on the jurisdiction and scope of the Dubai Health Authority, and to maintain patient safety in health facilities, and in line with the precautionary and preventive measures taken by the United Arab Emirates in general and the Emirate of Dubai in particular, we hereby announce the publication of the Policy for Health Information Assets Classification. The circular is effective from the date of its issuance and all health facilities and professionals under jurisdiction of Dubai health authority are requested to refer to the attached policy and adhere to the updated requirements set out in order to assure compliance and avoid any violations that may be issued in this regard.
